By pre-integrating Qualcomm Aware software into select Qualcomm and third-party processors, Qualcomm is providing developers and enterprises with a simple, fast, and cost-effective way to access data about the status, health, performance, and location of deployed devices.
At CES 2025, Qualcomm announced the latest version of the Qualcomm Aware™ platform, a cloud-based service platform that enables businesses to add observability, monitoring, and location capabilities to smart, connected devices in industries such as logistics, retail, energy, smart homes, and robotics. As a key component of a broader IoT solution framework, the Qualcomm Aware platform will ultimately be pre-integrated into some of Qualcomm’s chipsets and select third-party hardware, creating more value for OEMs, ODMs, enterprise users, distributors, retailers, and consumers.
As a horizontally enabling platform, Qualcomm Aware adds cloud-based observability and insights, geolocation, precise indoor positioning, firmware updates, and device management services in a highly integrated manner for connected devices. This means device manufacturers can gain new insights into the devices they sell and take proactive measures to fix and prevent device failures. Retailers can track the turnover rate of their high-value inventory and receive alerts when items are stolen. Distributors can monitor their fleet’s delivery efficiency and accuracy metrics, while end users can extend the lifespan of their devices by keeping their software, operating systems, and features up to date.
Nakul Duggal, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Automotive, Industry Solutions, and Cloud at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., said: "The Qualcomm Aware platform addresses some of the most critical challenges in building, customizing, and deploying smart, connected solutions. This highly integrated approach offers businesses a straightforward solution, enhancing devices with a full suite of cloud-based visual insights, geolocation services, and device management tools, all customizable to meet specific industry needs. It helps companies accelerate time to market, unlock more value, and drive innovation."
